Burnalong is a holistic health, wellness, and social motivation platform dedicated to helping people live happier and more fulfilling lives. As one of two content designers on the team, my responsibilities ranged from crafting branded digital graphics to animating our new mascot, ‘b’.

As part of our rebrand, I assisted our Lead Designer with updating hundreds of assets, including flyers, infographics, business cards, and trade show booth materials, collaborating with the Marketing division to establish a cohesive brand identity for our new, modernized look.

	BURNALONG MASCOT

Currently, I’m spearheading a marketing initiative to increase user engagement and retention on our platform. This is where ‘b. long’, our new animated mascot, comes in.I design every b in Adobe Illustrator and animate them using AfterEffects. We’re currently conducting a limited rollout of b, but more will make their debut soon— stay tuned!

Hershey born-and-raised, soccer star Christian Pulisic himself reached out to ask if Hershey’s was interested in a collaboration. How could we possibly turn down our hometown hero?
Together with an external agency partner, I developed visuals for a billboard campaign celebrating Christian and the pride he brings to his hometown of Hershey. This campaign spanned eight placements across Seattle, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, with two additional placements being set up at our own Hershey’s Chocolate World locations in Hershey, PA and New York City.

For this initiative, Kit Kat teamed up with six community-based nonprofits across the United States to support and empower the next generation through programs focused on youth development, leadership, and education through music.
Our team worked together with Black artists&#38;nbsp;Mia Saine and Shae Anthony to develop and execute the campaign’s vision and key visuals. Using their illustrations as my creative baseline, I created a series of branded image tiles designed to be easily shareable across social media, as well as a short video distributed nationwide across Youtube ads and streaming platforms to&#38;nbsp;spread awareness for this incredible program.

We partnered with six different non-profits across&#38;nbsp;New York, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Los Angeles, and Memphis. These tiles were created and distributed to each organization to be shared by the members of the respective communities.

Bubble Yum is a bubble gum brand featuring Floyd D. Duck, a free-spirited punk duck who encourages people to “blow their own bubbles. My team and I grew Bubble Yum’s social media presence from scratch, developing consumer-first content that leveraged Floyd’s unique charm while reinforcing the brand’s core voice and identity. Since its launch in October 2025, Bubble Yum’s TikTok account has gained over 20,000 followers and continues to see steady audience growth.

	FLOYD D. DUCK, REIMAGINEDBubble Yum has&#38;nbsp;traditionally skewed towards older demographics. What could we do to make the brand appeal to a modern, younger gum-chewing audience?Our consumer insight reports revealed that younger audiences craved authenticity, a human touch in a social media landscape inundated by tech babble and bots. I thought we could tap into that need for authenticity by introducing a new illustrated version of Floyd, leaning into a “grungy” textured style featuring visible brushstrokes. I drew him to look rough and imperfect, with the cool and unbothered swagger of a punk that rejects conventional wisdom. Audiences resonated with this depiction of Floyd. Our social accounts have received over 100,000 likes across TikTok and Instagram, with TikTok leading in engagement.

	EATDENTITY

	The French culinary writer Brillat-Savarin once declared “Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are.” EATDENTITY serves as an exploration of this sentiment, examining the role of food as a vessel for identity, heritage, and intercultural communication.
This project takes the form of three DIY cooking kits, the boxes assembled and designed using recycled wood, the sleeves illustrated in Photoshop. Each recipe card tells the story of a Chinese snack whose rich history extends as far back as the Ming Dynasty.

The osmanthus cake cooking kit, pictured above, features only three key ingredients: rice flour, dried osmanthus, and rock sugar. According to legend, the poet Yang Shen dreamed of visiting the moon in order to take the imperial exam (a test designed to recruit only the brighest minds into the Chinese government). In the dream, he saw a magnificent palace and a huge, sweet-smelling osmanthus plant. He plucked one branch and brought it back with him to earth. A Chinese merchant from Xindu was inspired by this legend to collect fresh osmanthus flowers, whose oils he then strained over sugar and mixed with glutinous rice to produce a cake-like sweet. Thus, the well-beloved Xindu specialty was born.


	THE PROCESSI initially protoyped the boxes using cardboard, making several test cuts to ensure that each component was the correct size, that the joints aligned with each other, and that the back of the box — the “living hinge” — could fold without resistance.After several revisions, I began prototyping boxes out of 1/8 inch medium density fiberboard (MDF), a material recycled from compressed wood shavings and resin. This was the material used to create the final products.

PENN INTOUCH

Penn InTouch (PIT) is the University of Pennsylvania’s course registration and student information platform. Students use it to plan and register for classes, view grades, submit course feedback, and access financial aid awards, among various other functions. Its interface also hasn’t been updated in 30 years— the site was built in the 1990s and hasn’t changed since.

	For this case study, I sought to redesign the PIT interface to make it cleaner, more accessible, and easier to use. To facilitate this process, I interviewed current users of the platform, used their feedback to build wireframes for key pages of the website, and finally prototyped Figma mockups for desktop and mobile.

THE PROBLEM

For the redesign, I focused on updating two core aspects of the site: the Landing Page and the Course Search and Registration functions.
There were several pain points that I sought to address, including:Text-heavy UI with varying font sizes, colors, and weights
Redundant navigation (similar bars on both left and right sides)Accessibility issues such as illegibly tiny font sizes coupled with a non-existent mobile interface

THE PROCESS
After interviewing student peers about their wishes and pain points, I took my notes and drafted wireframes that featured key elements I would want to include in the final redesigns.

A reoccuring theme during the interviews was intuitivity:&#38;nbsp;that the current platform wasn’t intuitive enough, that the visual clutter made links difficult to navigate, and that it would be nice to have “a more streamlined [registration] process”.

	I took these concerns into consideration when developing the design system, opting for a compact, modularized interface with an emphasis on buttons and color-coded action items.The system was built in Figma with branded colors and components that would be used throughout the site.&#38;nbsp;

	THE PRODUCT
With the wireframes complete, I gathered a final round of student feedback before diving into the prototypes. In this example, I modified the original landing page wireframe so that the daily class schedule would sit at the top, with a red line to mark the current time.This minor, yet important decision was made with user engagement in mind— 7 out of 8 interviewees ranked the class schedule among their top three most used features, so I revised it to be front and center. This way, even a busy student rushing between classes can tab into PIT and glance at the day’s schedule with minimal hassle.

	Shorewood Citizen Advocates is a civilian advocacy group dedicated to building positive change for the Shorewood city government. Its founder approached me for a digital full color logo to be used for marketing &#38;amp;&#38;nbsp;communication within the group.
	Below, a documentation of the design process from start to finish, beginning with the initial research process and concept sketches followed by client feedback, two rounds of drafts and revisions, and the final deliverables.
	
	
THE CLIENT

I first met with my client via Zoom to discuss visual identity. During this phase, I got to know the client organization, its history, the values embedded within it, and the desired look and feel for a logo that would encompass the story of the Shorewood Citizen Advocates.

	THE RESEARCHAfter the initial brainstorm, I compiled moodboards for relevant visual elements (color combinations, images, even other logos) that would steer my designs in the right direction.I shared these boards with the client and worked with her to refine our vision for the logo.

	THE SELECTION
The Shorewood Citizen Advocates chose to move forward with the handshake-droplet design. After making final revisions to typography, color choices, and the design of the droplet interior, I packaged the logo assets for export and final delivery.

	FROM THE GROUND UP is the 2022 tagline for the MIT Sustainability Summit, an annual event that brings together diverse voices in sustainability to discuss how we can create a just future where humans and nature can thrive.
	For this commission, I was tasked with designing a logo that merged the “raw power of grassroots action” with a “natural, earthy palette” and created this graphic: a fist rising from the ground and soaring skyward, from the ground UP.
